Saturday
· Warm ups start at 9:20 am, so be there at 9:00 am to positive check-in, and find a spot to sit with the team. We only have 20 minutes to warm up, so it is IMPERATIVE that we are IN THE WATER at 9:20.
· The Meet starts at 10:00 am.
· Coach Alison will be at this meet.
· Our team will be required to provide 4 volunteer timers. Parents please be ready to time if needed. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Coach Alison.
· Background info why we are supporting to this meet:
In July, Phil Scott, husband of YMCA Aquatic Director and Swim Team Coach Karen Scott, became paralyzed due to a massive infection in his lower back and spinal column. This infection in his spine has resulted in 2 major surgeries, extremely high doses of antibiotics and hundreds of hours of physical rehab.
All donations will go to help the Scott family as income has been cut in half in addition to bills not covered such as the flight for life helicopter to Indianapolis and the 2 months of travel and overnight expenses incurred by the family. In September, Phil returned to Paris Community Hospital where his stay is indefinite at this point. At the Oct 25 meet, there will be raffle tickets available for purchase, proceeds of which will be donated to the Scott family.
