• HEAT car wash is back, this time at corner of South Prospect and Springfield at the Penzoil place, on Saturday, June 14, between 1 and 4 pm. Mark you calendars.

• Thanks to all who contributed to the baquet-- thank you! If you missed the banquet, you missed a chance to hear a wonderful, motivational speaker. To get a flavor of Josh Davis' talk, here's a story that I found on his website.
  Davis shared his experience at the 2000 Sydney Olympics to illustrate this point. Even though he broke his own American record in the Olympic finals of the 200-meter freestyle, Davis only finished fourth in the event. He was devastated not to have won a medal in his best event. “I was very upset after my race and I figured my parents would be disappointed as well. But, when I met them in the stands, they had tears in their eyes and they said, ‘That was amazing! We’re so proud of you. We love you.’” Davis said. “I realized that I had done my very best and that my parents loved me regardless of which place I finished. My hope is that you too have people in your life that love you and support you unconditionally.” (source)

• CCAEDC is a 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to the promotion of swimming through education, development and support and is working to build a 50 meter pool in Champaign Co.
