• We are going to have a "Pre-Short Course Season Start" Picnic.
  
  Date: August 22, 2010
  Day:  Sunday
  Time: 4-7 pm
  Place: IA playground and pools
  
  The HEAT team will supply hot dogs and drinks!
  Families with the last name starting A-J please bring desserts, and K-Z please bring salads.
  Please RSVP by Aug 8, preferably much earlier, to Margaret Ballantyne at ballanty@illinois.edu or Jane Jukes at jane@ccymca.net.
    
  We need to know approximately how many people will be coming so we may buy adequate amounts of 
  food and drinks AND since everyone can swim, we want to make sure IA will have the adequate number of lifeguards on deck.
  			  

• The last day of the summer session practice is Sunday, August 16. The new season registration is set for August 27.


• Mark your calendars for SCY home meets: Erin Block: Nov 5-7, 2010 and Mid-Winter: Jan 21-23, 2011.

• Here are the 2010 Summer Registration forms: Heat Registration (MS Word form) and USA Swimming.
  • Bring your completed registration forms to Jane Jukes between 8:00 - 4:00 or leave them at the front desk in a sealed envelope with Jane Jukes name on it.


• If you are swim parent and not on Jane Jukes, Heat secretary mailing list, please subscribe by sending her your e-mail.


• Letter to the members regarding swimsuits.
• Link to a provisional list of swimsuits approved by USA Swimming.


• YMCA Strong Kids Campaign - spread the word, get involved.
• Summer 2010 swim camps in our vicinity: Boomer Start and Turn Camp , Technique Camp, and Illini Co-ed Swimming Camp.
